Community Consulting Lab
The Community Consulting Lab at the Carey Business School brings together inter-disciplinary teams consisting of graduate students from across Johns Hopkins University to work with local businesses and organizations to help solve their business needs. Students and organizations first come together during a match event where businesses and organizations looking for help pitch themselves to students interested in helping. Students then rank their choices based on mission and skill set and are matched with organizations aligned with their interests.
While students receive faculty assistance in client management and business strategy, the projects are led entirely by the students. Working in close collaboration with the businesses they're matched with, teams must explore the business issue, gather data necessary to formulate a solution, and work with their organization to develop innovative, actionable plans. At the end of the engagement, students present their ideas and plans to the organizations, many of whom choose to implement the recommendations.

It was one of the most helpful resources for my venture. Too bad this is a generic test comment - if you want to see the real ones from local entrepreneurs, make a profile!
