Resource Profile
FastForwardU Fuel Accelerator
Offered in both the fall and spring semesters, the Fuel accelerator will accept up to five student ventures - across all JHU schools - with the goal of providing skill-building workshops, in-kind resources, mentorship and funding in a structured nine-week program. The ultimate objective of the Fuel accelerator is for the selected teams to leave equipped with both tangible collateral as well as intangible knowledge that will prepare them for the next stage of their entrepreneurial journey.
Each team will receive an initial $1,000 grant upon acceptance to the Fuel accelerator. Upon successful completion of the program and milestones, each team will be able to earn an additional $4,000 in funding. They will also be matched with a mentor ‚ based on their stage, industry or biggest identified need ‚ who will help them work through the program.
The Fuel accelerator will culminate in a Demo Day pitch where one of the cohort teams will receive a follow-on prize of $10,000. Below is the planned weekly schedule for the Fall accelerator program. If your venture is accepted, you will be expected to meet once per week as a cohort and once with the accelerator lead.
